Coneygarth Day Nursery and Farm began with a simple idea, to create a place where children could grow up surrounded by nature, fresh air and real life experiences.
Founded in 1997 by Martin and Carol Cooper, the nursery was built on their family farm in Haxey. Inspired by their own experience as parents, they wanted to offer high-quality childcare in a setting that felt both nurturing and unique.
What started as a vision soon became a truly special environment. Farm buildings were carefully transformed into welcoming learning spaces, from a converted barn for the main nursery to a former milking parlour for the baby room.
Over the years, Coneygarth has grown while staying true to its roots. Children continue to learn through hands-on experiences, connecting with animals, the seasons and the world around them every day.
Coneygarth Farm Day Nursery opens, bringing a new approach to early years care in a farm setting.
Farm buildings are thoughtfully transformed into safe, engaging spaces for children to learn and play.
The nursery expands its offering, supporting more families and strengthening its approach to hands-on learning.
Coneygarth builds a strong reputation for its farm-based environment and quality childcare.
A well-established nursery where children continue to grow, explore and learn through everyday life on the farm.
